there's one night a year when I thoroughly enjoy walking in the snow, with a frost bitten nose and a freezing everything else. i love doing this because this is what we did on our first date. if you know our story, you know that Russell & I were friends for over a year before we started actually dating. so this was really a long time coming.
i still remember what we were both wearing the night of our first date.

on our first date we also went and heard the Tabernacle Choir sing {but we missed them this year}. of course putting fashion before function I had worn open toed black heels and no tights. {poor choice}. once we were inside the Conference Center, Russell took off his coat and wrapped it around my feet-they were purple from the cold! such a gentleman, yes he is.
i love to see the temple
we had never seen the lanterns before. probably my favorite part.
