I survived! I survived! I questioned for a moment if this rotation would ever end. I need to blog about some highlights before I forget everything...
Elderly patients say the darndest things!
-----"You look just like a doll...You just made my day"
-----I walk into an ICU room w/the dietitian, the pt is well aware of why we are there, she looks
at me and says to the dietitian, "FEED HER!" then winks at me and says, "It's okay, I'll
take you home with me!"
-----The man who told me a 'smart' blond joke! And one about how elderly people have trouble
holding their water. Every time I saw him he'd say "Two drops of water"
(I guess that's really only funny to me)
-----Having the director of my internship tell me my Case Study Presentation was one of the
best she's seen in four years...and she asked me to present it to the new interns in June!
I guess that's all I can think of right now. It felt weird walking to my car Friday knowing I was actually done with this grueling rotation. I learned SO much more about dietetics and about myself. I have finished all of my torturous homework but still have a very large comprehensive exam to take :( I start my last rotation (3 months long) at 7 am Monday morning. I've finally made it to the final stretch!

How was your first day? Hope it went well! I thought this was funny, my word verification is focus, maybe it's a sign =) Good luck!
It was pretty good! Ashley works across the hall from me and we get to eat lunch together! I'm about to start a count down for how many days I have left haha!
