My cousins Jen & Matt have a new little baby...we are praying the adoption process will go quickly and very smoothly for them.

Lily is such a sweet baby, we are so glad we were able to meet her last week. We look forward to many, many visits in the future.

melissa's baby shower

another successful shower in the books! my good friend Melissa is due to be popping out a lil boy in two weeks! we are so excited to meet their little guy. i got my inspiration for this shower from the great Martha Stewart. major thanks to russell for helping me when fishing line proved more difficult to work with than i thought and for putting up with me when i got a little crazy! and thanks to our friends who helped with the yummy food!

cravings

i'm not sure i buy into the whole cravings thing. does your body really need a chocolate milkshake at 11pm? doubtful.

but i have to admit i really wanted something on saturday.

an egg salad sandwich.

i was cleaning the house and trying to think of something to eat for lunch. {food in general is still not that appealing to me. ie. nothing ever sounds good}. but somewhere in the dredges of my mind {had to have been way back there, pregnancy is really making me dumb} i remembered my mom's egg salad. as soon as i thought of it, i had to have it. it was like nothing else mattered. not the errands i had to run, not the paint we were going to pick up, not even doing my make-up.

all i wanted was egg salad.

mmmm, and let me tell you. it was egg salad heaven.
