School Year Comes To An END!!!

Well finals are finally over and I couldn't be happier! This will be our first summer as a married couple and we are SO excited! Although today was our first day of summer, it snowed and feels like the middle of winter outside...how weird! Here are some pics from what we've been up to lately...ps. Mom, update your blog!

The Ultimate Finals Package...my parents definitely know how help us get through-THANKS! Pss. I think I gained five pounds!

I think my sugar high wore off...studying for Clinical

We had a double baby shower on Monday for two of our friends. Kelly just had a boy and Rachel is having a girl! I had the greatest time shopping for lil outfits to get them! And then I came across these adorable shoes...Even though I want a lil girl first I couldn't resist these trendy lil boy shoes and they were on sale, so Russell gave the okay! So the future Braden Douglas Stephens already has some shoes! Sorry the pic is bad I don't know how to turn the flash off.

This is how Russell felt about studying for finals

This is baby Hayden, Jerilyn and Bryan's youngest. We watched the boys last Saturday and thought it would be a breeze (we watch them quite often), but Hayden has learned to crawl and OH BOY was he all over the place...but we loved it!

After taking my last final! We had decided to celebrate and while trying to figure out where we wanted to eat (ie. where we had coupons lol) my Daddy called and said dinner was on them....so you'd think we would be able to easily decide but we ended up driving around town and coming home! We weren't really hungry and nothing sounded good so we decided to go out the next night to P. F. Changs.

Tonight at P.F. Changs! It was delicious! Thanks Mom and Dad!

Intramural Update

Basketball: Well sadly, the John Denver Nuggets lost on Tuesday night. I dont remember the exact score but we lost by one point! It was a very intense game and as usual I was the loud, yelling wife. I'll recap the last 14 seconds for you....The other team comes down the court with 14 seconds on the clock and they're down by three. For some reason we couldn't get a single rebound and they got off three shots, making none. Foul called on us. 5 seconds on the clock, there "shooter" inbounds the ball, runs to the top of the key (more like half court), ball fed back to him and....he shoots and scores. Why didn't Russell's team just foul? Who knows, coaching error! We went into overtime and ended up losing by one. I have relived this game everyday since Tuesday...aka Russell can't get over it!

BUT on a happier note...

Football: Still undefeated! I have to admit, I could watch these boys play football everyday! The John Denver Broncos are now in the semi finals. Wednesday's game was FREEZING but great. My personal favorite highlights...Up by one touchdown, the other team managed to score again in under a minute! Yikes. But we answered back in just one play. John Hayne (QB) ran to the fifty and threw the ball to speedy lil Russell in the end zone! I cheered and yelled "That's MY husband!" The other highlight was the best interception I've ever seen. Matt tipped the ball and then preceded to tip it SIX times! At one point the ball was flopping behind his back and he managed to some how catch the ball...It was really something you just had to see! They play again tomorrow night...Go BRONCOS!

Conference Weekend

Not a whole lot going on around here but I thought I'd post what we've been doing lately. With finals closer than ever, we've been doing a lot of studying, writing papers and finishing semester projects. My dialysis presentation went very well...I got 100%! I have one more presentation this week and it's one I'm looking forward to for my Foodservice Management class. This past weekend we went to Russell's parents in West Jordan and watched conference with them. I spent Saturday painting pictures I drew for my presentation (as pictured). Its a theme day presenation and ours is "Charlie Brown Day" in honor of Charles Schulz birthday. Anyway, they took way too long to paint but it was worth it in the end. We also celebrated Bryan's Bday (Russell's brother) and I here's a pic of the awesome bowling lane cake Kim (Russell's Mom) made. Russell took a final today for his anatomy lab-one down, many to go though! Both his bball and football team are still undefeated and doing very well in the tournament. Hopefully they'll keep winning this week since it's the last time the boys will all play together. I'll try to remember to take some pics and post them later in the week!

I made 4 posters-Charlie Brown, Peppermint Patty, Snoopy & Woodstock and Linus & Lucy
