Our Long Easter Weekend

Hello everyone! Here are some highlights from what we've been up to lately and our fun Easter weekend!

~School & Sports~

This week has been insane for me and I'm so glad it's coming to an end. My cumulative presentation for the semester in my clinical class is on Dialysis and was supposed to be today but was moved to next Tuesday. This was a huge relief to me! Now I get to practice on Russell all weekend. And for sports this week, Russell had a flag football game last night and I absolutely love watching him play football. I'd missed all other games this season because I was sick. But anyway, Russell was definitely the MVP last night! He caught the first touchdown in the end zone, from behind the back and later intercepted for a touchdown and win! Way to go 'John Denver Broncos'!!!!

~Happy Easter~

I think we look so awkward in this picture but it's the only one of the two of us on Easter.

Chris & Spencer finding the eggs Russell and I hid

Sucking her thumb

I was sick on the Sunday Russell's family had planned to celebrate my birthday so we did it on Easter instead...Spencer has the cutest voice when he sings Happy Birthday!

~Lunch with Kristin~
The Morris gang came down for Easter and Kristin and I were able to sneak away for a yummy lunch at our favorite place...ZUPAS! And then we went and hung out with lil Carson.

We let him be in his diaper for awhile haha. Kristin has super cute pics on her camera so I'll post them when she sends 'em!

~Baby Sophia~
Sophia Kay Stephens was born on March 14, 2008.....MY BIRTHDAY! She is our first niece and is incredibly adorable. The first time we saw her she slept the entire time...even when I poked, prodded and moved her arms all around. These are pics from our first visit.

Sweet Lil Baby

You can't go visit Sophia without visiting her big brothers! This is Spencer's first weggie!
This was the funniest thing...Spencer kept listening in Russell's ear and then would tell him he had a lion or a spider in there!

Always sleeps with her mouth open

Sophia and Auntie Mandy

~Intramural Basketball~
Russell's intramural bball team is on a roll, they still remain undefeated! I tried to snap some pics and video at their last game. They played terrible haha but still managed to win...love you boys!

I can't figure out how to upload my videos, so pics will have to do. Notice their shoes...they all match!

~My Birthday with Russell~
Russell and I celebrated my birthday two days early so that I could have a special night just with him. Although I was still pretty sick we went to dinner and I got to open my presents...The cutest yellow shoes, two adorable shirts and the best medicine ball!

Please ignore my ghetto pink pants...I lived in them while I was sick

~Baby Blessing~
This last one is a lil old but I need to post it! We went to Logan for Carson's baby blessing on March 2nd! He is such a cutie and is bigger every time we see him! It was great to be a part of this special day for Kristin and Craig. Russell was in the circle to bless Carson and it was amazing to see all the support of family and friends!

TAGGED

Kris tagged me awhile ago...So I'll be a good sport for my sister! But I think I'll change it up a bit....

1. What was I doing 10 years ago?
I was 12, being shuttled from soccer practice to ballet. I dried my hair in the air vents of my mom's car and swapped my cleats for pointe shoes. ha ha. I think I was "going out" with Mike Sego yet I refused to hug him. I also received a full mouth of metal and was plagued with braces for 4 more years-good thing it was worth it!

2. Five things to do today:
Finish my powerpoint slides on dialysis for a presentation next week, study for a foodservice test, work on my dialysis paper, squeeze in a work out (probably wont happen), and make Russell a wonderful dinner-i've been slacking in that area!

3. Favorite snack I'm craving: This needs to be plural but right now it's Chicks and Rabbits...gotta love Easter candy!

4. What would I do if I were suddenly a billionaire?
I would first move out of our small apartment and buy a house where Russell will be going to Dental school. Then we'd pay off all of his dental school bills, and pay off any debts my family may have. Give a ton to the church education foundation and I would without a doubt go to Africa and help children with nutritional deficiencies any way I can. AND we'd save for our kids college and missions and travel when we have kids....I've got big plans lol!

5. Three bad habits I have:
I never put the lid on the toothpaste, I always put the Brita filter back in the fridge empty and I throw my clothes all over the bedroom in the morning.

6. Five jobs I've had:
I have been a physical therapy aide, soccer coach, nanny, a waiter for BYU catering and am currently a paralegal at a credit repair law firm.

7. Five things people don't know about me:
I only like chocolate when I'm on my period, I secretly want a baby but we're waiting a couple years (don't freak out mom), I can only cross one eye!, I am plagued with migraine headaches-I have one now and get them almost everyday, and I blog surf (Russell thinks it's incredibly weird)

8. Three people who have inspired me lately:
My mom. She's always baking or making something for someone. She knows exactly what to say and when to say it, especially when I'm down and need a pep talk.
My husband. He's the most task oriented person I know and has A's in all his classes.
My cousin Tiff. She has a six year old and four year old twins, is training for a marathon, and balances so many tasks while still being an amazing wife and mom.

****Tiff, Jen & Alix...consider yourselves TAGGED****

Birthday Wishes

The Birthday of All Birthdays!
Russell and I flew home for my birthday this year...it was a fast but very fun weekend and I did not want to come back to Provo. We ate, we shopped, we ate some more, and we partied! Here are some highlights from our trip....

Mmm....Lobsters! Notice my poor arm placement, I thought there was a lid on this tank, I was wrong!

Why is my arm around our waiter? We grew up together! I can still remember when Brandon moved to the golf course in 4th grade and all the girls loved him! We reminisced about ski trips and high school, it was great! And he even sang Happy Birthday to me!

I had missed these girls SO much!
The rest of our pics are on my parents camera, so I'll post them when I get them.

The Sickness

I haven't posted in what seems like forever! I've been sick for the past week but am finally recovering! I woke up with barely a cough Tuesday and by that night I felt like I was going to die! But I've obviously survived...my appetite is slowly coming back and I'm just trying to cram for some tests before we fly home on THURSDAY! And lastly my tribute to what got me through the past week....

AND of course............My Russell.............

March "Birthday" Madness

Happy first of March! This is one of my favorite months of the year, as there are sooooo many birthdays in my family...and of course my birthday too!

1st-Tiff

3rd-Kylee & Kennedy

5th-Mom

14th-Me

26th-Brynley

???-New baby Sophia will be popping out sometime around the end of the month, unless she's like her brothers and decides to come early!

So HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Tiff! She and the girls have been sick for over a week now and it seems like they are going to be celebrating belated birthdays this year! Russell and I are flying home on the 13th to celebrate my birthday at home. Last year was the first time I didn't get to be home for my birthday. I flew to Denver instead to see Doug and Hailey and then Russell proceeded to give me surprise after surprise on my birthday here in Utah! We are definitely excited for what this month will bring...and I'll be pretty happy when it's over too, as school is killing me! Lots of love and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
